At around 10 p.m. on Sunday night, officials say that a fire truck was stopped on the side of the road to assist a motorist when it was hit by a driver in the area.

The truck was out of Station 26 in Glen Burnie.

No firefighters were injured, though the driver of the car that hit it was taken to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation of minor injuries.

"We would like to remind everyone to slow down and 'move over' when you see our apparatus operating on the roadway," the department posted on social media.
